What cookies are
Cookies are small values a website stores in your browser. Similar browser storage can remember settings or temporary workflow information.
How Veltor uses them
- Authentication: to keep you signed in and connect requests to your session.
- Security: to protect sign-in, OAuth, account linking, multi-factor authentication, and other sensitive workflows.
- Trusted devices: to remember a browser for multi-factor authentication when you choose that option.
- Preferences and workflow: to retain interface preferences and short-lived signup or redirect state.
Veltor does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral advertising cookies.
Third-party sign-in
If you continue to GitHub, Discord, or Google, that provider may set cookies on its own domain. Its cookies are governed by its own policy and settings.
How long cookies remain
Some cookies last only for a browser session or a short security flow. Sign-in cookies may remain for the session period, and a trusted-device cookie may remain for up to 30 days. Cookies may be replaced or removed when you sign out, revoke sessions, or change account security.
Your controls
You can remove or block cookies through your browser. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and parts of Veltor from working. Because Veltor currently uses only essential cookies for these functions, there is no separate advertising-cookie preference.
